I feel a bit sorry for the new members Kanon and Erina. Well, at least Kanon had the sense to try to lip sync along.

Not Erina, though.

Oh well.

They’ll get better!

A Korean in Morning Musume?

Dayeon Jang (장다연) (チャン・ダヨン)

Right now, I’m making a prediction.

Since JunJun and LinLin have graduated from Morning Musume, there is a need for a new ‘international’ member. The Pandas were a boom for Morning Musume’s image.

You know who’s being actively publicized in Hello! Pro Egg right now? The one and only Korean audition winner, Dayeon Jang. (I wrote about her and that audition back in 2009 when she was just the ‘sad-faced girl’.)

I think Tsunku will put Dayeon Jang into Morning Musume. I’m completely certain of it.

LinLin was originally a member for Hello! Pro Egg. And like it did for LinLin, I’m sure these past few years in Egg have given Dayeon the training needed to debut as a major idol.

Let’s watch and wait!

 

9th Generation of Morning Musume

So, unless you’ve lived under a rock for the past month, you already know that Morning Musume got a new generation. It’s the 9th generation!

9th Gen - Mizuki, Kanon, Erina, and Riho

The NEW MoMus.

Mizuki Fukumura has been in Hello!Pro Egg since 2008, so she’s a strong addition to Morning Musume. Kanon Suzuki was one of the more entergtic auditionees. Erina Ikuta was a model before auditioning, but is rather boring. She’s also an AKB48 fan, which lowers my opinion of her considerably.

Then, we get to Riho Sayashi, Ms. Perfect. Riho was in Morning Musume’s Fashionable stage play last year and a top act the Actor’s School of Hiroshima.

Riho can certainly pop and lock, and for this she’s already a fan favorite.

Yes, Riho looks cute. Very cute.

But it’s too early to start gushing over her quite so much. Or calling her the next Goto Maki.

Did I mention that Riho was born after Morning Musume formed? If you watch her dance for too long, you get a free hat that says “Creeper” on it in bright letters.

Muten Musume – Kura Sushi

With the goal of promoting sushi around the world, the Kansai-based sushi restaurant chain Kura Corp and Morning Musume have teamed up the release a new single.

The concept is very cute. Each Momus member appears as their favorite item on the menu. Of course, the Pandas’ characters are fruit-based. If JunJun were anything but a banana I think fans would be disappointed!

The restaurant is running some promotional specials right now.

Sayumi is suddenly T-Pain

Yes, I said it!

Sayumi Michishige has suddenly turned into the American rapper T-Pain.

On Morning Musume’s new album ’10 My Me’, the group’s 6th generation members sing a new song ‘Ooki hitomi’ (‘大きい瞳’). It is a good song, might I add.

Starting from 53 seconds into the song… Sayumi sings her lines heavily Auto-tuned, ala T-Pain.
