Commuting around the city, I often heard the announcement for a bus stop called ‘Sakuragaoka’.

To my ears, Sakuragaoka sounds like ‘sakura -nyow – ka’. ‘Nyow’ like the sound a cat makes.
This past weekend, I went with a friend and got off at this stop.
The purpose?
To say we went to Sakura NYOW ka, and to take pictures of Mt. Fuji, of course!
Sorry about the electric power lines!
Power lines are the dirty, hidden secret of photography in Japan. You try to avoid them at all costs, but sometimes you can’t help but get them in the shot.
